About Us

Built by a chef who's run the kitchen, not just written about it

KitchenFounder was started by a Head Chef with hands-on experience running large hotel and restaurant kitchen operations — the kind of experience that comes from actually being on the line during a Saturday night rush, not from theory.

After years of building menus, managing food costs, training staff, and keeping a kitchen profitable under real pressure, one thing became clear: most people opening a restaurant are handed recipes, but never the numbers. They can cook the food. They can't always tell you if it's making money.

Why we built this

Every KitchenFounder guide pairs authentic, tested recipes with the operational side that actually determines whether a concept survives its first year — food costing, portioning, staffing structure, and a full P&L model built around the menu itself. It's the playbook we wish existed when we were opening kitchens ourselves.

Meet Chef Tim

Chef Tim, KitchenFounder's on-screen host

Chef Tim is the face you'll see across our videos and content — the on-screen host who walks you through each cuisine, each dish, and each guide. Behind Chef Tim is the same real operating experience and recipe development that goes into every guide we publish.

What you're getting

  • Recipes built for consistency at scale, not just a home kitchen
  • Real food cost breakdowns per dish, not rough estimates
  • A complete P&L model so you know the numbers before you sign a lease
  • Guides written from operating experience, not internet research

Whether you're opening your first restaurant or adding a new concept to an existing one, KitchenFounder gives you the full picture — the plate and the P&L.
